If you are a man seeking to live a life that is pleasing to God and you want to make a difference in this world, then this conference is for you. Atherton Baptist's 2010 Men’s Conference is a time to stand together as one and pledge to walk worthy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What a unique opportunity to come together as men of God, to fellowship with one another, learn from one another, and praise our Mighty God! Plan now to join us for this day of powerful teaching and inspiring worship. Bring a friend.

The cost is $45.00 per person (non-refundable).

After September 15, the cost will be $55.00 per person.

Monte Vista Baptist Church, During the month of December we reached out to the neighborhood by having a Fiesta of Faith. The three congregations, English speaking, Hispanic and Burmese-Karen hosted tables with their traditional foods. Many people from the neighbood came and it was fun sharing the different foods. http://mvbc-abc.com
 
Iglesia Esperanza Viva, On January 25th the Church celebrated its 5th Anniversary and installed its new Pastor Moisés Montenegro.  Dr. Oscar García-Johnson brings the message for the occasion. Congratulations and blessings to Pastor Montenegro.
 
Lindley Church, along with The West Hills Church, has started Disciples Bible Institute. It meets on the campus of the Lindley Church. Currently, Pastor Mike Cocoris is teaching a course on Spiritual Service and Pastor Dave Drummond is teaching the second half of the course on Old Testament Survey. Anyone interested in attending can find all the information at www.disciplesbibleinstitute.org
 
Arizona Karen Baptist Church, hosted the first annual Karen New Years event. Over 300 Karen from the Phoenix area came to Monte Vista Baptist Church on December 27th to celebrate the New Year. Christian and non Christian alike came together for singing, dancing and food.
 
First Community Baptist Church, Desert Hot Springs hosted a community celebration of Martin Luther King Day. Rev. Bill Godwin from University Baptist Church in Palm Desert was the speaker.
 
First Baptist Church of Los Angeles, announces the appointment of their new Minister of Music, René Rowland.  Ms. Rowland has been active in Southern California as singer, conductor and educator.  She has completed her doctoral coursework in choral and church music under the supervision of Dr. James Vail, a "child of First Baptist."  Ms. Rowland also teaches music at four elementary schools in the South Gate area.  She began her duties at First Baptist on January 4, 2009, replacing retiring Director of Music, Sandra Rogers.
